Advance Australia Fair

Two days ago we moved into a new house. Luckily my body knew the pressure was on to not get sick prior to our move, so of course now that it's over, I get a cold.

This video was one of my first blog posts and it's pretty damn hilarious. I'm recycling it because I needed a good laugh and when I originally posted it I think about two people read my blog (literally).

My kids singing the Australian national anthem, Advance Australia Fair:

That was adorable! I have to admit I don't recognize the song. I played the video and my little girl came over to watch it with me. She said, "Why was I not there?" I said, "You want to be friends with those boys?" She nods her head yes. My daughter is on a hating boys kick right now, so that's quite an honor :)

Look at that little giggler in the back!

Ohohohoho! That was so cute. I love how they just kept pushing through the giggles. And the warning that the music gets loud here.

Thanks for sharing. That certainly brought a smile to my face.

So cute! I wish kids in the US sang the Star Spangled Banner at school.

What a cool thing to see, little American boys singing the Aussie anthem - maybe better than most little Australian boys I know. Very cute!

Gwen- Thanks, it was the Australian national anthem. I'll let my boys know there's a little girl out there who likes them.

Aussie- Thanks!

Blues- Yeah, he's the wild one.

JD- Makes me smile too, thanks.

Ana- That's a big song, though it would be fun to watch kids across the country hit the high notes.

Natalie- Thanks, they're very enthusiastic about it!

I wanted to make a smart ass comment, but I'm not going to, because they were cute and even my cynicism can be broken.

Hilarious. That will be the next Aussie song I teach my 3 yr old now! He knows Waltzing Matilda and Home Amongst the Gum Trees and a couple of others. :)

I hope you post photos of your new place. I'm such a sticky beak with houses. ;)

So the move went well? How much stuff got broken? I miss the days of being able to bag all my clothes up in garbage bags and hurl them out the window into the apartment courtyard on moving day. But thankfully, moving is much less frequent now.

Put up pix of the new place when you're unpacked - next year.

So cute! Love the way O. is rolling around in the background! Too funny! So far my kid has learned to sing "Footloose" and "Disco Inferno" at her Aussie school (I'm not kidding). I'll have to ask her if she's learned this one. Feel better soon!
